The three deadlines for regular orders

Business days exclude Saturdays, Sundays and US federal holidays. Made-to-order, backorder, custom handling and pre-order products have their own longer windows.
Handling time
Handling time is how many business days you need before an order is ready for collection. For regular orders the shop-level default is 1–2 business days. You can set longer, product-specific times: backorder 3–15 business days, custom handling 3–7, made-to-order 3–14 and pre-order 3–60 calendar days.
The metrics you must hit
- Valid Tracking Rate (VTR): at least 95% of orders with accurate, verifiable tracking.
- Late Dispatch Rate (LDR): TikTok recommends 4% or less; above 10% may lead to enforcement.
- On-Time Delivery Rate (OTDR): at least 80% of non-FBT orders delivered by the deadline.
- Seller-Fault Cancellation Rate (SFCR): 2.5% or less. Out-of-stock and late-shipment cancellations count.
Missing these can lead to lower visibility, order limits, removed listings or suspension.

What this means for dropshipping
Many dropshipping suppliers ship from overseas, which usually takes longer than 6 business days to reach US customers. That makes it hard to meet TikTok Shop’s delivery deadline. If you want to sell on TikTok Shop without holding stock, look for suppliers with US warehouses that dispatch quickly and give tracking numbers straight away. Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT)
With Fulfilled by TikTok you send stock to TikTok’s warehouses and it ships orders for you. FBT orders are exempt from the VTR, Late Dispatch and OTDR calculations. Fees for FBT are separate from the referral fee: check the current rates in Seller Center and add them as “Your shipping / fulfillment cost” in the calculator.
